Hilton Grand Vacations is currently seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer. As an Assistant Chief Engineer you are responsible for maintaining the entire HGVC facility, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with the energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. The Assistant Chief Engineer ensures the upkeep of the landscaping and guest areas to maintain an attractive property. Manage all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assists the Property Operations Manager in administering programs involving electrical, mechanical, general construction, and repair and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment. Included are the safe and efficient operation of building utilities systems i.e. natural gas, electric, and water.
* Assigns and verifies completion of routine maintenance and operation of all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C systems and any other related equipment which contributes to the safe and effective operation of the facility.
* Visually inspects quality of work and directs staff and outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.
* Acts as the Property Operations Manager in his/her absence in such capacities as hiring, counseling, and training.
* Takes on the responsibility of completing any special projects that were the responsibility of the Manager.
* Communicates effectively with city officials to ensure proper maintenance of permits and licenses such as inspecting the building with the fire department to ensure all public assembly permits are maintained yearly.
* Coordinates inspections of all elevators and escalators with the proper regulating agency. If required, coordinate and search the property with Secret Service staff and other officials to ensure safety of diplomats and hotel guests.
* Acts as a liaison between hotel and vendors to review latest in hotel technology and products.
* Attends conventions, seminars or classes to further education in current and future trends to be used in the hotel with the intent to increase guest satisfaction, cut costs etc.

Job Requirements :
Job Requirements

* Graduation from an apprenticeship and/or advanced training program for operating engineers recognized by the industry and trade or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
* A combination of five to ten years schooling and hands on work experience in buildings with complex systems.
* Experience in coordinating electrical requirements for conventions and meetings. General practical experience in the fields of stationary engineering, building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical wiring.
* Should be familiar with work and limitations of various crafts, particularly union workers who are employed in building maintenance.
