Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for various company-wide planning processes such as the annual Operating Budget, the Capital Expenditure Budget, the 10 Year Plan and the internal forecast. Financial Analyst also assists the Director in providing ongoing financial analysis to support senior management and to determine opportunities for efficiencies and profitability improvement.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
· Produce and maintain the 10 Year Plan throughout the year and submit it to Hilton on a quarterly basis.
· Produce scenario analysis and graphs for senior management analyzing the incremental impact of various potential projects on our key financial drivers.
· Assists in the coordination of company-wide budgeting activities including operational and capital budgets.
· Assists with the development and maintenance of budget templates and reports in the Budget Software Application.
· Assists with the responsibilities of administering the Budget Software Application.
· Compile analysis and graphs for senior management analyzing historical and forecasted trends on our key financial drivers.
· Perform ad-hoc financial and operational analysis as requested.
· Assist in updating Timeshare PowerPoint presentations, ARDA surveys and various key company statistical data.
· Assists in the automation of reports in Peoplesoft.
· Carries out all reasonable requests by management, which the employee is capable of performing while providing the highest quality of customer services at all times.
Job Requirements : QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
· 2+ years experience in financial analysis required.
· Four-year college degree – Accounting/Finance/MIS required. CMA, CPA or MBA preferred.
· Intermediate to advanced technical and database skills preferred but not required.
· Some experience in creation of financial models required.
· Some experience in budgeting and forecasting required.
· Experience in related industries (hotel/resort, property management, real estate development) preferred.
· Hands-on computer experience with proficiency in all modules of, Excel, Word, report-writing and accounting software required.
· Knowledge of financial measurement techniques (IRR, NPV, Proformas, etc.) preferred.
· Experience with Peoplesoft financial systems preferred.
· Thorough knowledge of GAAP and the ability to prepare and analyze statements in compliance with GAAP preferred.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
