POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for monitoring Sales and Marketing Operations to improve profitability through ongoing evaluation of processes, procedures and programs. As a business partner to the Managing Director, the Director of Sales and Marketing will participate in the creation of budgets, compensation plans, marketing agreements, tracking reports, projections, financial analysis, and payment of commissions, overrides, and bonuses. The Director of Sales & Marketing Operations will be responsible to the Managing Director and the finance/accounting department for accuracy and consistency of information, direct coordination of budgets and other accounting matters, protection of corporate assets and continuity/integrity of systems and procedures.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
§ Insures that the Las Vegas Distribution Center is operating within budgeted numbers.
§ Insure that all projects and distribution centers are operating within budgeted numbers.
§ Insure that all policies and procedures are fully in effect.
§ Insure that all sales & marketing processes are operating at their optimum.
§ Insure that each marketing program is on track and report all deviations and impacts.
§ Insure that each sales team is on track and report all deviations and impacts.
§ Insure that inventory is being sold according to budgeted mix.
§ Insure that all compensation plans are communicated to finance department in a timely manner.
§ Insure Distribution Center Sales and Marketing Processes and Procedures are in Legal Compliance as directed by the HQ Legal Department. Including Distribution of Printed Materials
§ Recommend improvements in all Sales & Marketing arenas.
§ Audit all Sales & Marketing reports in an ongoing manner to verify data accuracy.
§ Assist Managing Director in creating all compensation plans and marketing agreements.
§ Attend key financial meetings.
§ Prepare and coordinate with finance department monthly accruals, depreciation, authorization, etc. to reflect accurate accountability.
§ Prepare and coordinate with finance department monthly/quarterly financial reviews for submission to senior management.
§ Participate in the creation of all Sales & Marketing budgets.
§ Respond to Customer Complaints as necessary.
§ Review and approve all Foreclosures.
§ Maintain and enhance communication between Sales & Marketing and Finance/Accounting.
§ Manages the On-site Contract Administration department.
§ Manages the On-site Sales and Marketing Administration including Front Desk, Gifting Desk, Kitchen and Dispatch.
§ Manage Business Analyst as needed to carry out all of the above responsibilities.
§ Carry out any reasonable request by management of which the associate is capable of performing.
Job Requirements : QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
§ Bachelors Degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred with a strong financial background.
§ 5 years experience in the Vacation Ownership industry ( Finance, Sales & Marketing).
§ Good verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational skills.
§ Ability to travel when necessary.
